Universal Remote Codes Programming instructions for Samsung TV
This part of the article consists of the instructions on the programming of the remote and pairing it up with the tv. Complete the steps in the suggested order and the remote will get paired if it is supported by the tv. In case the remote is not supported, the user then will need to look for the original remote.
Step-1: Turn the tv on by using either the power button on the tv or the button present on the remote.
[Tips:
- Before starting the whole procedure, it is recommended to use two new AA batteries for the remote.
- As the tv uses both IR and Bluetooth technologies, the power button from the remote will work even without pairing through the IR. The rest of the buttons might not work until the pairing is complete.]
Step-2: Point the remote towards the remote control sensor of the tv.
[Tips: The remote control sensor is generally located at either on the lower right side of the tv or the bottom centre position.]
Step-3: Press and hold the “Return” button and the “Play/Pause” button together.
[Tips: The “Return” button can be identified through the hairpin-curved arrow symbol.]
Step-4: In case, the previous step does not work, you have to use the “Guide” button instead of “Play/Pause” button.
[Tips: The user has to press and hold the “Return” and “Guide” buttons together, instead of the previous combination.]
Step-5: Release the pressed buttons on the “Pairing Complete” message on the tv.
[Tips: If an error message saying “Not Available” appears, the user has to look for the original remote as SMart Remote or OneRemote is not supported by that Samsung tv.]
