Philips um4 Magnavox Universal Remote Control

The Philips UM4 Magnavox universal remote control can be programmed to control multiple devices in your home. For example, you can program a remote control to control a TV, DVD player, and CD player. This is beneficial because you can easily control the device you need without finding another remote control for each device.

Step 1: Find the code for the device you want to control with your Philips remote control. Refer to the user manual or click the link in the Resources section to find the code.

 Step 2: Turn on the device you want to program (TV, VCR, DVD player, etc.).

Step 3: Press and hold the code search button. This button is located in the upper left corner of your Philips remote. Leave the “Code Search” button after the red light comes on.

 Step 4: Press and leave the device you want to program. The button on your device is located on top of the Philips um4 Magnavox remote.

Step 5: Enter a three-digit code. When you enter the correct code, the red screen goes blank. When you press the Power button on the Philips remote control, the programmed device must be turned off.
